Dawlish is part of the the constituency known as Newton Abbot (used to be called Teignbridge).

Here are the candidates who have so far thrown their hats into the ring. Note that this list can alter as it is still open for others to join or for those already declared to withdraw.

Candidates have until Thursday, November 14, at 4pm, to submit their nominations, with a list of nominated candidates to be published by 5pm that day if there are no objections, and by 4pm the following day if there are some.

No Brexit or Ukip candidates standing so same old same old for Newton Abbot then. What a useless bunch of individuals make up that list. Would love a read of the Renew party manifesto as I could do with a good laugh at the minute, as for the rest of them I think we have heard all their bullsh*t many times before. Just a bunch of noses in the trough liars that will stoop to any lows in order to get your vote.

You know James Osben then do you? I thought not because he is about as far away as "a bunch of noses in the trough" as you can get. 

He won't even get near the trough as he's labour..!!!!

Brexit won't be posting their candidate until the 14th, supposedly.

I certainly won't be voting for any of the above, certainly not photo shoot girl.

The Brexit Party will split the Tory vote which will likely ensure the Lib Dumb gets elected, so nobody wins

I am sick of people saying that if you vote for the brexit party you will be letting labour etc into power.

Well if all the idiots voting conservative for brexit are the ones actually causing the problem.

Do you really think voting conservative is going to get you out of the EU, I don't think so.

As far as I am concerned all the parties in Westminster have been an absolute disgrace since the referendum of 2016. 

If labour/SNP get in at the next GE then the conservatives, remainders and Westminster will get its just desert.

With our grossly unfair voting system, and The Brexit Party polling around 10% there is no chance it will form a government, it will be lucky to get a single MP.  We therefore have to accept that there will be no clean Brexit, as much as I would prefer that to happen, and there is going to be a transition with our eventual departure at the end of 2020.  If the Tories can secure a decent majority then that will see off the opposition and there won't be a repeat of the shenanigans we've seen recently, such as that Surrender Act being forced through parliament.

I am voting brexit party and if labour get in you can blame the conservatives, end off.

Bad Luck, DEEDOODLE, it looks as though you won't be able to.  Nigel has announced 'his' party won't stand in any constituency where the Tory got in last time.

P'raps Deedoodle could write Brexit Party across his ballot paper? Just so as he (and others of similar inclination) can express their thoughts on the matter?

That's great news from the BP, it should ensure Wrigley doesn't get anywhere near Westminster, except as a tourist.

So, having been made aware of the quite likely consequences of his actions it seems that Nigel changed his mind.........

I think Nigel is putting country before party to ensure there is the best chance of getting the Tories elected so Brexit happens. Tactical voting will be paramount in this election.

Only but a few days back Nigel Farage was saying that the Brexit Party would be fielding candidates in some 600 constituencies as the Boris deal wasn't Brexit. 

As far as I am aware the Boris Brexit deal hasn't changed in the past few days.

So, if according to Nigel Farage it wasn't Brexit then, and nothing has changed, how can the Boris deal now be Brexit?

I know there is no Brexit Party candidate standing in this constituency but might a vote for the independent candidate, David Halpin, be a constructive way of expressing your views?

As I didn't know anything at all about Mr Halpin I thought I would look him up. And the above is what I found. I think where the other candidates stand on Brexit is more readily and easily known.
