It cracks me up the complete denial of politicians. You only have to listen to the lib dems today believing that people voted for their party because they believe they are the better party ......yawn.

Hi

In total agreement, votes for the lib dems were a protest vote against Tory/Labour  and not an endorsement of Lib-Dem policy, but wait for the lib-dem spin on the result.

Just seen Vince Cable on the BBC saying the result shows that people have changed their minds and now want to remain in the EU.

If we participate in the EU elections later this month support for the Brexit Party will demolish the Lib Dems, they may as well savour the "victories" today because they will be short-lived.

Although I didn't vote for any Lib Dems I am quite pleased to see two of the existing councillors thoroughly thrashed in the elections - farewell Prowse and Clemens!

Town Council results are being announced - another Lib Dem victory.

I'm pleased to see 4 independents being elected too.

I say again we got into this mess because people elected some MEPs who never bothered to attend the European Parliament. Doing the same thing againand electing the BNP sorry Brexit Party candidates is just well stupid.

The Lib Dems will do an awful lot of damage in four years.
