Dawlish Discussion

hi, you lovely people, i, "dasocalledbigman" am back for a (hopefully) delightful conversation.

now if you know about the last chapter of exhilirating events i found myself in, you may know i pointed out i'm not actually from dawlish, but i have family who are and i come down to visit regularly. this is where the title becomes relevant.

some of my family used to really enjoy gathering mussels from dawlish beach, as well as the warren, up until this storm that happened in 2014, but you can only really get baby ones now (all of which from what i've been told/overheard in conversations).
so please, do any of you guys know where to get some more decent-sized ones? i'm sure they'd be well happy to know.

Get a big bag from Tesco for two and a half quid. Saves putting up with grockles, their screaming kids and dogs and they cook them as well.

If all you can get are baby ones, then to help the eco system, I would leave them alone so that they can grow and increase.

I understand what Elvis is saying but I have purchased Muscels from Lidl a few times, with different sauces, and found them most delightful.

On very low tides/spring tides you can get out towards the parson and clerk there are good muscles out there but you cant linger you will have no more than 20 to 30 minutes and conditions have to be calm.

that's alright, man, no worries. again, i'm just asking on behalf. just buying them makes more sense to me, personally, but there might be a difference idk
