Dawlish Discussion

Funny how no one has mentioned this years council tax bill rip off, seems TDC have gone for around a 6% hike for Dawlish which already pays the higest tax in Tegnbridge, and for what. Reduced services in all aspects from policing to public toilets. Locally pay rises if any have averaged at around 1% and bank interest savings rates are around nill %. So where do the incompetent overpaid council numpties think people are going to get the extra money from. Now the chief exec has been got rid off lets see the next layer of upper management removed along with their pension pots

And if no one gives the councillors some stick, they will think they have done everything as it should be.

Based on the lack of activity by the councils in the last year we ought to be getting a reduction for this year and a rebate for last years pathetic efforts. Oh I forgot they need the extra to top up their salary increases and pensions....silly me.

In a fair and just society run by councils and a democratically elected government in a far, far distant Galaxy you would see costs going down, quality of life going up and a profound respect for one and other. So just reverse that and you have our little chunk of Heaven down here on Earth.

Parasitical people in power who give themselves what ever they like and when they need more they whip and beat the peasants for more. Other than a longer life, better general health and a cosier life style the basic formula of the farmer working his stock for profit nothing has really changed.....just more stock I suppose.

By the way I pay one weeks salary for every month of rates and that is a full working week.

Nothing will change in this country until the population reach boiling point and then those in power will merely pull up the drawbridge and send the troops out to quell the peasants.

Just read my council  bill for 2018, nearly choked on my cuppa,£188 per year from every household in Devon and Cornwall for the police and Crime commissioner, !!!! Police numbers down crime up and we are paying  this clown that amount of money,......another unwanted and useless office fostered on the population by the Tories....never mind the outrage about anne marie morris slip of the tounge....this is what affects us all and should be of more concern rather than the snowflakes complaining about human rights etc...
