An iconic and historic beach kiosk on Dawlish seafront has been demolished.
The kiosk had managed to survive the famous storm of 2014 that destroyed the railway line and devastated the area, but had been redundant for a while and had not been used for over a year.

What are they babbling on about. I walked past it last night and 75 percent of it was still intact with a mini digger sitting in it.
It might have surived the not so famous storm but I don't see how it is historic for sure?!
Doesn't news papers always exagerate one way or another? How did they come up with HISTORIC beach kiosk?
Now that is has gone, is there any sugestions as to what this newly created open space can be used for?
And I hope readers to this post will apreciate that the demolition was only completed on the 9th October and not on the 4th October as was stated by the Dawlish News. And there is still some making good before the safety barriers are removed.

So, the question on topic was, what could the area be used for? How about an Ice Cream Kiosk, or we could even put the new play park there if people want it so much.

What is it with the need for everyone to be swearing all over this site @webmaster - I really think the beach needs to be concentrated on and I'm sure somehow more could be made of the railway attraction it brings.
