Took some tins to be recycled to the Barton Hill car park. I was surprised to find, or not as the case maybe, that there is no facility for recycling of tin cans. A few other people had also brought bags of tins down and then left them hanging of the recycling skip brackets, not that I blame them.
Why is it that Teignmouth's Eastcliffe car park has a tin bank, but we do not? Double standards again!

There is also a once a week kerbside collection service (or at least there is where I live).
Signs posted in sandy lane recycling states that if you leave recycling outside of the container (because its full) then this will be treated as fly tipping and if caught you will be prosecuted. It states that you should take it to another recycling point and also phone the council to report that the container is full.
Why not ask the council employee who collects the money from the parking machine to check and report full containers.

Ken - there should be a sign that states the council will be fined if the containers are not emptied in a timely manner. Typical council to try and make a profit out of their own ineptitude to regularly empty the recycling containers.
So how would the council know if the bins are full unless someone tells them?
I guess that if they were to send council employees out and about to check the bins the council could then be accused of wasting council tax payers' money.
