A severe weather warning has been issued for Exeter and the rest of the south-west as Storm Doris could batter the region on Friday.
Storm Doris may hit the country the same weekend which saw Dawlish severely flooded three years ago, where a section of the sea wall collapsed, and residents were evacuated from their homes.
The Environment said: "Flooding is possible for Exposed east facing coastal locations including Hallsands, Beesands, Torcross, Slapton, Blackpool Sands, Brixham, Broadsands, Goodrington, Paignton, Hollicombe, Torquay, Oddicombe, Teignmouth Promenade and Dawlish during Thursday.
