Just came along that way in a car - windows fully closed.
A tanker was at the pumping station (why would that be then?) and the stench even managed to permeate the car (which is how I knew it was a stench).
Gawd knows what it must be like for people living around there.
Do you think Sainsbury's might start kicking up a stink (sorry) sometime soon about it all?
Its the same at the Exeter Road end of Brunswick Place stench comes out of the manholes the covers are on but the stench is awfull but its been like that for as long as i can remember the sewers are so old they just cant cope with sewage and rain.
Most probably will be spread on a field near you soon as the new human waste fertiser!
Funny you mention that as a kid it was my job to empty the bucket loo in a trench that then would grow the spud crop they were the best potatoes you ever tasted.
