What is taking Teignbridge so long to disclose the findings of the DA2 et al Framework Consultation?

There was talk of the consultation information being sorted by Christmas, that is why I think Langdon thought they would have their planning by then, as per the Dawlish Gazette, but it has hall gone quiet.  Has anyone heard anything about when Dawlish will have some answers about what is going on?

It looks like I am not the only one who is wondering why it is taking so long, see below:

1 DECEMBER 2015 DAWLISH NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN STEERING GROUP

PUBLIC CONSULTATION Consultation could take the form of drop in sessions at locations to be determined, leaflets, local press advertising and social media or a mix of the aforementioned. Dr Marsh advised she would be more than happy to develop a PowerPoint presentation if need be to help elaborate on the groups suggested aspirations for the plan. It was agreed that March would be time by which the Steering Group hoped to see pubic consultation commencing. However, this was subject to a response to the DA2 Teignbridge Local Plan Policy consultation earlier in the year; this was hindering and suppressing the will to progress a neighbourhood plan. The Chairman advised she would contact Simon Thornley – Business Manager for Spatial Planning and Councillor John Goodey, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhood Planning detailing the above sentiment and requesting information as to when a response to the DA2 consultation might be received.

The delay might have something to do with the Housing and Planning Bill that is presently going through Parliament.

As what it contains when it becomes an Act of Parliament might well impact on Local and Neighbourhood Plans perhaps TDC is holding back from making any decisions re DA2 until they know how DA2 might be impacted by this new Housing and Planning legislation.
