I heard a lot of what I thought were cars racing along the A379 the other night but couldn't quite work out where they were exactly. Seems it might have been the Warren as I've just received an e-mail saying that the resort manager at Teignbridge has notified the police about boy racers on bikes being down the Warren at night.

She has contacted the police about it and they have said they will try and put on some extra patrols. They have asked that people call 101 when it is taking place and the police will try to attend.

Well, that will be a waste of time then. Take note of the TRY word.

So.....if the police are short staffed (or any other public sector workforce for that matter) it is not that workforce's fault.

Some might say it is the fault of the government for its continual financial cutbacks in the funding of the public sector.

Others might say it is the fault of those who voted in the government
