Congratulations to Major Tim Peake on his space walk, great to see the Union Flag in space.
Why is the UK only spending a pitiful £320M a year on space when we spend £700B on welfare. We waste £18,000M on housing benefits alone. That is 56 times more than we spend on space exploration. We all benefit greatly from science and technology. A budget of only £320M is very short slighted.
I would rather the money was spent on the NHS or Education how about spending it on the Sea Wall to future proof our rail link against rising sea levels and climate change.
