Woke up this morning to see that Brock had paid our front lawn a visit during the night.

Lovely. (not)

Wonder how many badger sets there are out DA2 way?

Badgers have been in residence in Britain for over 250,000 years and most probably long before parasitic humans decided to cover most of the country with concrete and tarmac.

Whose land was it before it became a garden!

There are certainly other species that could do with a bit of a thinning and would certainly be in the positive for the country.

There are at Least two sets that I know of near to Secmaton Lane Lynne and one that I have seen in the wood at the top of Warren Road.

Well, Lynne, at least you were spared the sight that greeted me early one morning some years ago when I heard a noise outside the kitchen window:  Mr. Brock was outside making a feast of a poor old hedgehog and soon all that was left was a prickly skin. Just glad that the children weren't around to witness it. Having said that, it was only nature taking its course and there aren't so many hedgehogs around now for badgers to make a meal of anyway, hence the digging up of urban lawns in search of worms.
