Can anybody tell me why the supermarkets ( Tesco Sainsbury and Morrisons) have removed the large price petrol and diesal signs.
I can think of a few reasons but would like the correct one.

I can think of a few reasons but would like the correct one.
As there's no legal obligation to display prices, I suspect it's down to not having competition nearby - most people won't drive off once they've driven in. It'll be worth monitoring their prices to see if they creep up.
Prices have come down at Sainsburys since the roadside sign disappeared. They still have the large sign in place there on the Car Park side (and is visible from the road).
