Just received a letter from Network Rail , resurfacing works at Reviera Terrace-Sea Lawn Terrace.

The works are planned to commence on the 29th July and will consist of and impact the residents as follows.

 

Overall working days duration 16 days.

Upper Road - 8 days.

Lower Road - 8-days.

Working days ( Monday to Friday - 0700 -1800 ).

Pedestrian access to front of properties will be maintained, although maybe disrupted for short periods of time.

No vehicle access during the road works ( 16 days ) including weekends when no works are planned.

Alternative parking will be arranged in Sandy Lane and disabled parking available on Exeter Road ( subject to DCC permissions ).

Heard today that Network Rail are not Introducing the new trains In the autumn. The £38.5 billion Is being reset. Some of The work they were going to do may be delayed or cut entirely. The electricfication of the line will now only go to Swindon and further on much later.  The East Midlands line, York-Sheffield shelved, as Is the Trans Pennine service. The Great Western services will still be top priority but will take longer. No news about HST but the new Hitachi trains wont come Into service this autumn.
