Great. Will this apply here too? They'd better lay on the double deckers. The buses will be full of OAPs asking the driver what time the return bus goes back - at least they won't be fiddling for change anymore.

Yes ...all of the UK. OAPS will only get 'free' travel during the day at off peak ..they will have to pay before 9am when buses are busy ..so it should work out better than now, as the loadings are light during the day.

I think Labour will be getting my old Mum's vote now !

Buses are unbelievably expensive in Dawlish - two quid to go to Teignmouth. Where I live I can go anywhere I like for 8 p on the bus.

Who is the MP for Teignbridge? What party?

I thought it was Robin Maxwell Hyslop.

Dawlish is Conservative isn't it - a stalwart blue enclave.

Actually its Richard YOUNGER Ross. What a ridiculous name. But the bloke seems ok to me.
Yeh Dawlish is Conservative all right. UKIP even. Not everyone though.

.. is the fare if you are resident in Devon with a travelcard. It costs more than that to run the car and include parking fees. The law now requires that new vehicles are required with disabilty access ..these cost over £100.000 each! Dawlish has a bus every 15 minutes during the day to Exeter and Teignmouth...to maintain that you need 10 buses along the route ..add the costs together with the drivers wage of £7-£8 per hour .. surely £2 is good value. The 'all day' explorer anywhere ticket has gone down this week from £6 to £5.
