Is this really how people think? Surely not. Why not make it a bank holiday and celebrate the day?
No, it isn't how anyone I know thinks. Racism is a terrible evil but no one seriously thinks that celebrating St Georges Day is racist.
Im more worried about racist beatings, abusive chanting by Chelsea fans and pigs heads being thrown through the windows of mosques
I was emailed the image. Not sure where it originated from.
Thanks for your posts, I've booked April 23rd off (and the day after). I shall wear my t-shirt with a red cross on it and go have a few beers around town.
Cheers!
Actually, and unfortunately, it is true, as the PC brigade must think about how others feel about it and we (us English) have to respect their human rights and might insult them by celebrating St George's Day on April 23rd.
Oh dear, JC with her sarcastic remarks again. How sad are you having to count the words.
This is from a report that I couldnt copy the url.
"A council in Somerset banned local residents from flying the national flag on Armistice Day, after a councillor sparked controversy by claiming it offended Muslims".
Seems we cant fly our own flag in our own country.
Now JC, wake up to the Real world.
