The race is run over 10 country miles from Dawlish Leisure Centre and back, heading out to the Obelisk monument at Mamhead, along the green lanes and forest tracks which are always very wet, very hilly and seriously muddy.
Four runners from the home club took part, with new member Greg Minns first home in 1hr 30min 12sec and Ross Pyne hot on his heels in 1:30.18. Next was Todd Squire in 1:35.47 and Sean Connelly finished in 2:13.58,
