Two-year-old white German Shepherd Bailey was found dead by his owner who saw a blue van speed off towards Secmaton Lane in Dawlish.

The owner said: “Bailey was only two-years and three-months old, still a baby.
“He was a big soft teddy bear and we miss him loads. The place is empty without him.
“If his death was an accident we can’t understand why they didn’t stop and say this is what happened, we would have dealt with it. We can’t understand someone just driving away.”
