FIRST Great Western is set to be awarded an uncontested contract extension to run the railway between Plymouth and London, with union bosses branding the decision a "stitch-up".
Plymouth and the rest of the South West is waiting for a Government decision on the future of the rail line between Exeter and Newton Abbot after a Network Rail feasibility study, published in July, estimated it would cost £3bn to build a new line avoiding Dawlish.
