This Sunday, 5th October, we are holding our Harvest Festival at Dawlish Christian Spiritualist Church.  Tracy Mangnall will be the Guest Speaker at our Service of Thanksgiving, commencing at 6.30 p.m.  It is customary for fresh produce, baked good, jams, chutneys, tinned foods etc. to be donated by those who attend, as a token of appreciation for the fruits of the earth.  These items will be displayed during the Service and auctioned off at the end, in aid of Church Funds.  We are looking forward to an enjoyable and uplifting evening and hope that as many of you as possible will be able to join us.

Well I have to say I went to your church recently and there was not much of a welcome..so i guess unless you are regular you just dont 'fit in'.

Now as you have posted your 'Harvest Festival' on the discussion board and not on the 'events' page I assume you are wanting people to comment..

....so here goes....You call yourself 'Christian' ..well I have always understood that Christians believe that we are all full of sin, thats why they do so many 'sorry' prayers, they believe in evil, devil and hell..
I cant see how you can be both Christian and Spiritualist? ...all the Spritualist churches around the UK with the 'Spiriualist National Union' do not follow in anyway the 'Christian' thinking.  I prefer their Spiritual principles and they make sense to me.

I have seen your postings in recent weeks and the comments about certain people that have cancelled coming to your church because of illness.  I think 'naming' people is a very unkind and wrong thing to do when clearly thay are unable to attend...

So as for this Sunday ...'you donate food and then buy it back' ....that will be a no from me.

I think apologies are needed all round and I apologise for putting this item on Posts instead of Events.

I think you got quite an unkind response.   We don't all click on Events looking for something to do but if it's flagged up here, it might jog somebody.   It was hardly a sin whoever your god is or isn't.
