Dawlish Town Council meeting will start at 6.30pm on Wednesday 1st October with a presentation from Sustrans on their CCF bid.
Thanks Margaret for this information and keeping the people of Dawlish updated on council meetings
Mrs C, why are you so nasty? Is your whole life full of this nastiness? I am so glad you do not support me and would not want you to support me at the next elections.
It's just like a first review on Tripadvisor - one couldn't have written it better oneself ;)
Well, Mrs C is so sure of her view yet she has removed her post in double quick time and not for the first time.
Well Mrs C does have a habit of removing posts, perhaps she ought to engage her brain before spouting her bile.
Margaret, you and JC are here for a bitchfest. If you were any decent councillor you'd address plenty more issues about Dawlish than your one crusade about the pavilion. You and your limited posse seem to lurk here merely because Michael Clayson is more present and effective than you.
What you don't know, and why should you, is the work I do for residents behind the public face of this website, which goes way beyond the cultural arts pavillion.
I simply advertised the fact that the meeting tomorrow night starts half an hour earlier, a fact many people would not have been aware of, but because someone thanks me for that I get nothing but abuse from Mrs C and from you and I really wonder why.
Sustrans are bidding for money to complete the cycle trail into Dawlish and work with local people to put heritage interpretation into locations such as the Strand Centre. There may be some additional cycle racks by the TIC but other than that no actual changes to the Lawn.
They have to get their completed bid in later this month
The project would also look at drawing people from the trail into the Warren sea front and to ensure connectivity with the rail stations
if anyone wants to know more, I suggest you contact Johnny Miller at Teignbridge Council who is helping Sustrans prepare their bid.
So no truth in the rumour they were planning to replace the bandstand with a giant bike shed and force the cultural pavilion to have a gift shop selling only Lycra shorts? Shame, I'd have been down there every day.
Margaret Swift, how fortunate we are to have you as a Councillor, if only your 15 Councillor colleagues were like you.
You have a lot in common with another great British warrior; Boadicea; as you doubtless know, she led a revolt against the Romans.
Perhaps it would be advisable for us to look out for you on the highway, just in case you attach swords to the wheels of your car.
Mrs Swift - you wonder why you are not popular with me? Here's why. You could have posted about the council meeting, or you could have posted about the work you do behind the scenes to support your claim that you do more than just slag off Judith Chalmers on here. But no, your only contribution to this is the continuation of your petty sniping. JC's not a councillor, you are. I think you need to rein yourself in and have some dignity, the pair of you do women a disservice.
Dorian, I really do think you have lost the plot. Go back to the start of this thread and you will find that I did exactly as you suggest, I posted about the council meeting and then was subjected to the uncalled for comments from yourself and Mrs C. It is the two of you that need to rein yourselves in; you post unpleasant comments on the most banal posts. Advertising the time of the council meeting because it was starting half an hour earlier did not need any response from anyone!
