I think I'm the first on here to thank those responsible for securing the placing of the new Tourist (Brown) Signs that have recently sprouted at the gateways to the town. An excellent and very timely aid for those that are unfamiliar with what's where. Well done and thank you.
I've only been out of town for a few days! I saw the new signs on the way home earlier this evening and was pleasantly surprised, hence offering praise where praise is due.
Looks like one or two still are obsessing, sneaking about whispering about me in private messages to each other. It'd be laughable if it wasn't so creepy.
Can we just call it quits and stop the bickering now? Not only is it against the terms, it is putting people off posting.
Not the first to comment on the new signs Judith Chalmers. You will see I posted about them on the 7th August, but good to see others are noticing them and agreeing that they are a good thing.
Unlike your third post which then sought to drag up, yet again, disagreements which many of the rest of us had hoped had stopped.
That's funny, now you're bickering DJ! Leave it be son.
At least no one has posted a negative comment about the signs so we all welcome them, right?
I apologise Dorian if you felt my post was bickering, it certainly was not meant to be seen in that light. Please let me assure you that I had no intention of joining in any bickering. I shall be more careful in how I word posts in future.
Having just returned home from two wonderful weeks in Dawlish and the Warren I agree the new signage is excellent and will be very useful to tourist unfamiliar with the area. Staying in the Warren area I was please to see a new venue for food and drink ( The Silly Goose). I must say I was very impressed with the food, good value, plenty of it and very hot and certainly good to eat. On the other hand I was very disappointed with the Welcome Inn. I had to speak to the staff about allowing a customer to queue for the carvery with his dog ( not a guide or support dog) then the final nail in the coffin for me on entering the gents i found there was no tap for washing facilities, I left and went back to the silly goose. Once again thanks good folk of dawlish for another great two weeks, i'll be back next year
