The winter storms moved about 100,000 tonnes of sand and damaged sea defences at Dawlish Warren.
The work includes creating a new embankment on the warren, strengthening the seawall to protect buildings in Exmouth and moving about 25 million tonnes of sand back on to the beach.
The Environment Agency hopes to start the project in the autumn and complete it by 2017.

Any bets that the vast majority of the money is spent on Emouth.
Thought none of these government agencies had any money or so we keep hearing.
Hope they dont disrupt the wildlife on the Nature Reserve or the ones who think they rule the planet will be on their case. RSP**** we hate dogs, holiday makers, and everyone that hasent got a pair of binoculas and dares to walk on our sand dunes.
