Beggars belief how that could have happened on a straight road in broad daylight, given the impacting vehicle had an elevated sightline as well.

Probably putting her make up on.

Lorry driver on mobile, other gismo or 'planet zog' seems more likely given that the lorry appears to have rammed her stationary car from behind with such great force.

How can you blame the driver with out the facts ??????????????????  TW*TS..................................

Looking at the disgusting post re. make-up, it's a pity some people don't practice what they preach. 

Was it the Bernard Manning truck making its weekly delivery of humour to Elvis?

I trust that the misogynist Elvis Presley, and whichever sad specimen agreed with him, now regret his vile comment. I doubt that he'll apologise for it but have no doubt that he'll think that "just saying" is enough get him off the hook...

@Mrs C - well said, the only thing that really matters is the seriously injured lady.

The other dispicable act in this sad story is the 'waiting to turn right driver' who made off and is being looked for by the police.

A few years ago, I got rammed from behind by a pick-up truck while stationary, boot caved in and fuel tank ruptured.

Luckily only got very minor whip-lash (which no I didn't claim for in spite of being urged to do so by some solicitors).

Truck just calmly pulled out as if nothing had happened and trundled off up the road.

Got the number plate but it was worthless information, because according to police, the registered owner denied the vehicle had anything to do with them, and the police left it at that because no one was injured.

So that went down on MY insurance as 'at fault' because my insurance couldn't recoup the write-off payout of my car.

No complaints though, as at at least I escaped with my health in tact.
