JELLYFISH strandings along the South Devon coast may be due to the weather, wildlife experts say.
A dozen barrel jellyfish have been reported on the shoreline at Dawlish and Coryton Cove with further sightings at Torquay harbour.
Steve Hussey at Devon Wildlife Trust said that swarms of jellyfish washed onto beaches is not uncommon.
He said: “It has most likely occurred due to the weather because we have had a lot of south westerly winds recently.
