In today's Dawlish Gazette

" Citizens Advice Bureau services set to be back on full track in town this year
Wednesday, 30 April 2014

A FULL service Citizens Advice Bureau is making a welcome return to Dawlish this summer after a four-year absence.

Town council finance chiefs have rejuvenated the invaluable social service with a cash injection of £7,000.

The funding, agreed by the town’s finance and general purposes committee on Thursday last week, means Cab will operate in the resort from June 1 on two days a week for the next year.

Financial pressures forced the help group to vacate its offices at the Barton car park in 2010. "

The Town Council has been funding a limited gateway service since 2012.   This new funding will see the full service, including appointments with CAB advisors back in the town after a 4 year gap.   Good news.

Well done, Michael. Will it still be in the Barton car park offices?

Hi Cassandra ,

The service will be based at the Manor, with appointments with Advisors on Thursdays and Fridays.

Anyone wanting help should either attend the CAB Gateway sessions at the manor on Tuesday mornings (10am to 1pm) or ring 08444 111 444.   Mobile phone users can ring 0300 3300650.  There is an initial assessment to find the best way to help you.
