THREE men are due to stand trial next month accused of committing a £12,000 robbery at a Dawlish holiday park last summer.

Michael Kelly, 21, Karl Daniels, 36, and Dean Smart, 27, appeared at Exeter Crown Court on Thursday.

They have each denied robbing a member of staff at the Golden Sands Holiday Park of £12,000 on August 27.

Kelly, of Littiatt Lane, Bath, Daniels, of Wookey, Somerset, and Smart, of Southlands in Bath, were remanded in custody.

The alleged victim suffered injuries including a fractured cheek, swelling to the jaw, injuries to his forearm and other wounds allegedly inflicted by an axe during the raid.

A trial date has been set for May 19.
