A TODDLER who fell and was unresponsive was flown from Dawlish Warren beach by Devon Air Ambulance yesterday.
Helicopter paramedics were first on scene at the beach and took the little boy to the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital.
The boy had fallen and suffered a serious head injury and the ambulance landed in the area near the amusement arcades.
The rescue was one of seven in a busy Sunday for the Devon Air Ambulance across the county.
In South Devon the air ambulance flew three missions during the day.
The Devon Air Ambulance paramedics were first on scene at the luxurious Gidleigh Park Hotel at Chagford where they treated a woman who had a nasty fall.
The third incident was at Hound Tor on South Dartmoor.
An adult man had suffered a fall from a height on the Tor near Widecombe-in-the-Moor and was flown to Derriford Hospital at just before 4pm.
