Hello everyone,

I am looking to organise a Community Beach Clean in May/June. Does anyone have any advice or information that would be helpful?it would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks

Hollie

@ Hollie

sounds a great idea, count me in

You might want to contact the chap on Eyes of Dawlish that organised a monthly beach clean before the railway problems.  Joint working is always a good idea.  I will try and scroll back on Eyes and see if I can find his details if you like?

also, I remember that Dawlish United had a very successful day involving their players on a beach clean.   If you contact them, they may be able to help you?

FInally, I know the organiser of the monthly volunteer litter pick in Dawlish, would you like me to see if they will let you borrow their equipment?  It might be useful for picking any mucky stuff that the sea has brought ashore.

Final piece of advice, contact either Lorraine Montgomery or Julie Owen at Teignbridge to discuss this as they manage the beach.  I would do that pretty early on, and see what advice they may have for you and organise what you are doing to fit around their own plans for beach management.

Hope that helps,

Regards, Michael

Try looking on the Surfers against Sewage website Hollie. They regularly organise beach cleans and may have some advice/information
