Hopefully everyone is expecting these by now and is prepared
A Warning is in force for the South Devon Coast from Start Point to Dawlish Warren. Although tide levels are expected to be much lower than our still water criteria for issuing a flood warning there is a risk of flooding from wave action at exposed coastal locations. There could be further damage to coastal defences weakened by previous storms. There may also be an increased risk at areas affected by recent storm damage. This may include Dawlish, Torcross, Teignmouth, Beesands, and other exposed coastal locations. The time and date of forecast high water is 23:45 on 07 Feb 2014 and 12:15 on 08 Feb 2014. The predicted astronomical tide level is 1.05mAOD tonight and 0.93mAOD Saturday. The forecast surge height is 0.62m tonight, and 0.6m Saturday. The forecast wind direction is S tonight, and SW Saturday. The forecast wind strength is Force 8. Times of high tide will vary along the coast. Conditions will usually apply 2 to 4 hours either side of high tide
