High spring tides combined with a surge and large waves will lead to flooding at numerous locations. The time and date of forecast high water is 09:00on 03 Feb 2014. The predicted astronomical tide level is 2.45mAOD. The forecast surge height is 0.38m. The forecast wind direction is South South East. The forecast wind strength is Force 7 Times of high tide will vary along the coast. Conditions will usually apply 2 to 4 hours either side of high tide. Following the storms at the beginning of the year some coastal defences in Devon have been damaged and beach levels are low. We are advising that you remain alert in these locations for potential rapidly changing situations. We will be monitoring these sites during the storms to see how they respond and will enact any emergency plans as necessary. Beaches, coastal promenades, roads and footpaths will be extremely dangerous. The public are advised to avoid these areas.
