Will the groynes on Dawlish beach and Dawlish Warren beach be replaced / repaired as part of the £8.35M project by The Environment Agency and Teignbridge District Council to replenish the sand at Dawlish Warren?
I recall learning in school about beaches being washed away by longshore drift and how groynes help to prevent this.

@Paul, i would not hold your breath. the victorians were the last ones to do any serious infrastructure work to dawlish. these days. those in power, only have one philosphy and that is to rip as much money of hard working tax payers and spend it on themselves and numerous white elephants. the days of long term forward planning are non existent.
I seem to remember that there was talk that the sand from the Warren had found its way to Exmouth and was going to be taken back somehow to the Warren
Many years ago in Clacton on Sea I watched a large ship wth pumps on board and long hoses pump sand from a sand bank out at sea onto the beach. It was very effective at the time . I wonder if the same could be done at the Warren.
There is a ship that sucks sand up at Teignmouth, and takes it into the docks (apparently)
