Luke Friend's former guitar teacher has had two of his guitars stolen from his shop in Teignmouth.A blue Fender guitar and a rare Dean Dave Mustaine Mako Glory were snatched.Peter Williams, who taught X Factor star Luke for over a year, had stored the two instruments worth £750 and other music kit in his carpet store- Pellew Carpets and Flooring, Pellew Arcade when the theft occurred, overnight on December 30.Peter, who is known for his musicianship and setting up events around the town, had been gigging over the Christmas period and thought they'd be safe at the back of the store."They prised the back door open using what we think could be a crowbar," said Mr Williams."I don't think they really knew what they were doing as there was another guitar there worth more money."I think The Dean Dave Mustaine Mako Glory was the only one in the country when I bought it 18 months ago."It's not the best way to start 2014."Anyone with information should call the police on 101 and quote JG132450.
