Just came across this on Eyes of Dawlish. Thought it might generate some discussion.
Has it been sold then? Anyone know? I know it has been on the market for quite some time.

I'd be interested to know more about the sale, it's still on the market as I can see, I can't see any listing for a possession order or bankrupcy though thye may live somewhere else.
At 1.95m i thouht it was considerably overpriced.
Doesn't the link say it's been removed from the market as either sold or just removed? Perhaps if it's been bought they aren't interested in keeping it as a holiday business.
Just viewed all 22 photos on Dawlish Places. Can't believe no one has bought it.
I so want to win the Lottery!
Their website says they are retiring after 45 years and take no further bookings. Perhaps if it's been sold for development planning permission request will appear on the website.
Will be going along to the sale on 4 January.
On the matter of development. This is an extract from the estate agent's blurb about Shell Cove House.
"The property comprises a large Georgian country house which is currently arranged as holiday apartments with plans having been submitted to remodel it to provide 10 generously proportioned luxury apartments and pavilion house, including penthouse with 'hidden' roof garden to take full advantage of the fabulous views.
Alongside the main house, planning permission has been obtained to build 9 luxury apartments, duplexes and pavilions in a contemporary style creating what the agents believe would be the best address of its kind in Devon.
not sure which agent you looked at but it has also got planning for an indvdual detached house as well, & another agent states has planning approved
@Andysport - that quote is from the estate agent's blurb found on that link i gave in my second posting
The people at Shell Cove would like to say thank you to everyone for coming to the Shell Cove's sale today.
They raised nearly £3000 for the Myasthenia Gravis Association which smashed their £1000 target! taken from Eyes of Dawlish
