THIEF............who stole 2 Christmas wreaths from my gates on Sunday December 8th at 17.07 I have you on CCTV. And your friend who was waiting for you in a car.

You decided to go in a car past my house "checking it out".

I have you lady with your shoulder lenght hair and I also have the car that was with you. I have you cutting cable ties from my gates to remove my Christmas wreaths.

Now, I am a nice person, and it is Christmas. Bring them back within 3 days or I will go to the police. I WILL get you charged with this and you actually stole from 2 properties as 1 wreath belonged to me and the 2nd belonged to the occupant of the other propertie, so you stole from 2 people. I was brought up never to steal, your Mother would be ashamed of you.

Please drive by my property and look up to the tree over the gate and you will see our CCTV

3 days thief, or the cops are coming.....

Why wait 3 days?  They might not even see this, unless they nick a computer.

I have to say I am very upset over this. To think a female would go up to someones gate and use a tool to brake cable ties and steel wreaths is just mind blowing.

I have the culprit on CCTV twice, first time she was unable to remove them, went back to the car and got something to cut them off.

As she was cutting them off a car approached her and she walked away from the gates pretending as if she was just standing in as the car was passing. She waited for 3 / 4 seconds and turned around and came back and proceeded to cut off our wreaths.

LADIE, IT'S CHRISTMAS......BRING THEM BACK.....I AM BEING REALLY KIND HERE, DO YOU WANT TO SPOIL YOUR FAMILYS CHRISTMAS WITH THE COPS DESCENDING ON YOUR DOOR. I HAVE MADE COPY'S OF THE CCTV FOOTAGE. BRING THEM BACK AND IT'S FORGOTTEN ABOUT. DO THE RIGHT THING, DON'T SPOIL YOUR CHRISTMAS WITH THIS HANGING OVER YOU.

I have the car reg, Dawlish is small. I can drive around day and night to find the car and shame the person.

I want them back.....

You owe it to EVERYONE to report this to the Police now, rather than let them steal more over the next three days. If not your CTV is pointless.

Police are calling here tomorrow for a copy of the recording. and please excuse my spelling mistakes as I was typing this in a hurry.

I will name and shame after the police are finished with her, to think you can buy fresh wreaths for around £10 and she wasn't happy with one she stole  two.

I am driving around and will find her house.

Please check your neighbours doors. Wreath is approx 20inches, quite large, artifical with a big red bow.

Anyone put one up Sunday evening / Monday morning?

would love to know, thanks

So Fred, you hijack a post about theft and turn it to your preoccupation about Eastern Europeans. Boring.

@Mcjrpc

The main issue is not with Eastern Europeans, but the incompetent civil servants at TDC who seem to make them a priority. With the added insult of using our council tax money to do so and then ignoring people when questioned over such.

The comment was meant to be lighthearted as others by Jools and Elvis. Seems it could be you who has the preoccupation about them

Wappy - good for you going to the Police, too many moan but don't take action.

On a light-hearted note though, I for one can't wait to find out who it is!!  And am looking at all door wreaths no longer to admire but to potentially catch the offender!

It's not me - mine is a blingy looking one still up in the loft.....

thank you for the support @Duckileaks......

I was out yesterday evening going around looking at peoples wreaths on there doors, people will think I'm the thief! lol

Of course I will leave the whole thing in the hands of the police but I can't help myself trying to find them, I am like a dog with a bone.

I am going to look again this afternoon, fingers crossed

Pictures of criminals and names should be posted in town somewhere for all to see, something like  'Watch out for these people convcited this week' and show their speciality, be it wreath pinching, break ins etc.

Well heres a true story for you. last year we had two mountain bikes stolen, and the theft was caught on cctv at 1.40am, the cheeky buggers even used the intruder lighting to assemble them as they weren't built. So good was the quality of the images we showed them to friends and workmates who, to a man, identified one of them as a local toerag renowned for nicking bikes. Armed with this info and a freshly made copy of the dvd, we went to the office on the strand, and was promptly stonewalled by devon and cornwalls finest. They were not happy that we named a possible suspect and wanted to know how we had got their name, and what our relationship to them was, also pointed out that there was open access to the area and it could have been anyone, but mores to the point, didnt look at the dvd, and suggested the bikes were probably no longer in dawlish anyway, and gave us a card to phone a number and make a complaint there. So good luck with going to the police. you may get more joy if say, you tell them the car they were in wasnt taxed, or had a light out or something, theyll be round fast enough then
