Should England have a vote on if we want to keep the union with Scotland.

My own opinion is we should get rid of the Scots ASAP.

Get rid of this biased Government and have English M.P's for England.

What about Wales and Northern Ireland?  What about the Welsh and Northern Ireland MPs?  Should 'we' not get rid of 'them' too?

The British Governemnt hasn't been an effective governing tool since the end of the Empire. The problrm we have is that it is the Governemnt who decides what is best for our nation whilst taking more and more money from smaller and smaller pay packets. The only time the Government will panic is when few people work and little tax comes in. Then many of those in Government will merely tootle of to one of their houses abroad and fined another way to con people out of their money.  As to the Scots, build a big wall between them and us !

Good riddance

We have had Tony Blair Gordon Brown now David Cameron.

All Scots all voting on English matters.

The present coalition government has, as far as I can ascertain, 1 Tory MP with a seat in Scotland and 11 Lib Dems with Scottish seats. The Labour party has 41 MPs representing seats in Scotland.

So, should Scotland vote for independence then it seems to me that it would be the Labour Party and the Lib Dems that would lose out and the Conservatives who would benefit.

And if say, just for the sake of argument, Scotland did go independent it doesn't follow that that would mean only English MPs would vote on English matters as the Westminster parliament would still have MPs in it representing seats in Wales and N. Ireland.

If all the bases airforce, army and naval establiments were brought back to England

with the shipbuilding how many jobs would that create.

The  cancellation of the Barnett formula which if my memory serves me

totals 30 billion pounds per year to Scotland.Enough Said.goodbye
