I would like to invite you to the opening meeting of the SAVE THE TEIGN ESTUARY TRAIL CAMPAIGN to be held on
Monday 28th October at 7:000pm at Bitton House Teignmouth.
It is without doubt that the Teignmouth to Newton Abbot Cycle Path will have significant economic, tourism and health benefits for our community. It will be a facility which can be enjoyed by all, not only cyclists but pedestrians, the young, the old, the able bodied and the mobility handicapped. If we look at other cycle paths in the county and the whole country they have had a huge positive impact on the communities they are located in.
The aim of this initial meeting is so that our communities can develop a positive campaign to ensure that DCC are aware of the importance of this path and that they give the development of the path a priority within their budgets. Representatives from Devon County Council and Teignbridge Councils have been invited so that we understand exactly what the issues are.
All residents, traders, tourism businesses, councillors, community groups etc along the route are invited to this meeting. From Newton Abbott, Bishopsteignton, Teignmouth, Dawlish
I would urge EVERYONE to get involved even if you do not cycle because the Teign Estuary Trail could be used by lots of people and all generations.
If you have any questions or require further information on how you can get involved in this campaign please telephone me on 775700 or e-mail burgess.paul@btopenworld.com or visit https://www.facebook.com/savethetrail
With regards and thanks
Paul Burgess
(Teignmouth Town Councillor, East Ward)
