Well said Prime Minister, We'll have more of that please. The joy of Olympic and Jubilee years is that we are allowed to be proud of ourselves as a nation without being made to feel guilty over it. We need much more of that EVERY year. Last Night of the Proms coming up, get those singing voices ready.

Yeah, this country is shite .... which is why half the population of the planet want to live here!
We have the best health system, social security system and man for man the best Armed Forces in the world.
Most of the people who whinge are living in the best subsidised housing and their kids are being educated for free in a not too bad education system that rich people from around the world want to put their kids through,
We drink water from our taps and can read books from our libraries.
Our roads tend to have some surface to them and we have trains and buses too. Not to mention that if you've managed a certain age in this godforsaken country you will be allowed to travel on said buses, the whole length of the country, for free.
There is even money (perhaps not enough) given to our older citizens when they can't/don't want to work.
Yeah -this country's shite isn't it?
