Bring it on, we can all pretend to be Blue Badge holders and totally block the road outside Harrisons for example

We could all park on the right  hand side of the Strand and bring the whole place to a grinding halt.

It always makes me laugh when I see the blue badge holders in their 4x4's and Impreza's parking on the double yellows in Teignmouth. The reason for the double yellows is that it causes problems for other vehicle users and pedestrians. How does having a blue badge allow the holder to make the roads more dangerous and obstructed for the rest of us?

Before anyone starts winging on, yes that means you Mr C!, I appreciate those who genuinely have a blue badge need to be able to park closer than the rest of us. Although wouldn't it be better for all if there were assigned bays for this.

I feel this is just local councils being lazy, as usual.

What a totally impractical solution to a non-existent problem!  Thankfully, it'll never happen as this announcement is merely another facile attempt by the Tories to appeal to the lowest common denominator, whilst knowing full well that it would never go beyond being a proposal.

As for Fred Bassett's comment, welcome back Fred!  That might be the first post of yours that I totally agree with!

This is nothing new when the Police where responsable for parking everyone had 10 minutes grace on Double yellows for loading/unloadind and is it still not the same if you are loading or unloading heavy goods.
