Not the Shipwright Arms, The Royal Standard, get your facts right.

Look out Shaldon, the Plasma Screens are on there way, next will be music and doormen good luck

Hope you dont have late licensing hours like over here in Dawlish..

its a real shame the way the traditional pubs all seem to be going. there used to be some lovely village type inns in shaldon eg the shipwrights, and the clifford arms both with good local characters. when i last visited them both had totally changed. i cannot believe that dawlish is so badly off for decent pubs and restaurants. i am looking at emigrating to dawlish from oxford possibly to get a b&b but perhaps a pub would be more lucrative! whenever we stay in Dawlish we always seem to have to travel out in the evenings to find anywhere decent.
