After walking along the sea wall on wednesday this week it was nice to sea the beach busy but i counted at least 7 dogs on the beach and that was just from black bridge to red rock. one dog i noticed even shat on the beach and the owners didnt even bother to clean it up.I recognised at least 3 of them to be locals .As a parent of 2 small young children there is nothing more annoying than dog crap on the beach where kids are playing. I also thought dogs wasn't aloud on the beach after april 1st are the beaches not being patrolled? Dog owners please be considerate and clean your dogs crap up.

Dogs used to be allowed on the beach from the viaduct up to rockstone. The only problem being dirty nappies, coke cans, fruit peel, condoms and sanitary towels left behind by thoughtless child owners!!!!

If you read the sign obout dogs not allowed on certain parts of the beach i think you will find the area you refer to are may to september.
However the council have put a sneakie sign at Dawlish warren saying no dogs on the beach from April to September.
I walk my dog quite regular along the strech of beach you refer to and always clean up if necessary and have seen many other dog owners do the same

Dogs are allowed on the beach from the Rockstone to Red Rock during the year.

Like the previous person said, it's not just the dogs that you need to worry about it's the parents kids that don't tidy up behind themselfs. I think the rubbish they leave behind and other nasty things is down to the parents.

Yes i agree their are a few owners that do not pick up the poo and that can spoil it for others dogs owners.

If you look along that stretch of beach thou their is NO doggy bins anywhere, owners will refuse to carry it to the warren or dawlish if not. So i can sort of see why they dont pick it up.

Admittedly some people are real pigs, the way they leave their 'crap' behind is disgraceful but dog poo is another thing altogether. There is no smell like that and once you've stood in it its hard to scrape that shit off your shoe. Someone I know, her daughter was hospitalised recently because of a viral infection from dog poo - they don't have a dog!

i tink dogs should beallowed on the beach all year round but during thie summer only on leads as long as people do clean there shit up

It's ok with if your not a dog lover. Which most of you sound like you are. Have respect for those who are and who do clean up after them.

If dogs were banned from parks and beaches they still have to go somewhere outside. Rather it was on the pavements or streets???

At least the tide takes it out!!!! The other thing is, at the end of the warren is dogs beach all round the year. People still insist going their with their kids adn STILL moan because of the hit about. Simple - DONT GO THIER. It doe ssay for dogs -IDIOTS

Dont get me wrong i myself have a dog but wouldn't dream of taking it to the beach in the summer there are plenty of other places to take the dogs ie the lane that runs along gatehouse school,golf course,and plenty of other places.Im moaning about people that leave their dog to shit everywhere and not clean it up.I always clean up after myself & kids but having shit on my shoes from the beach so many times im a bit pissed of with it.
