Why are people getting het up about CCTV cameras? It's not as if the council are going to be able to afford to run them for long. The kids will just move elsewhere to run riot...oh, but it'll look good to the grockles. That's the main thing. Sod (can I write that? - Just did...) the people who live here. We just pay taxes, run the businesses that keep the town going and vote them in. But back to the CCTV cameras. Who really cares? As far as I've been able to ascertain, the only person who does lives at the Bartons and shoves unwanted pamphlets through the post. Really, some people need a hobby....

And some people need to stop sleep walking.
Look at the wider picture and tell us who the real beneficiaries are.
How many cameras are there in GB, nice little earner. Who pay's for most of them?, YOU!
Who pay's for the installation of most of them?, YOU!
And how do they use most of the images that are captured on CCTV?, put it on the telly, and who pay's for that?, YOU! They put it on the telly to show you what happened after the event. It did not deter, detect or prevent anything, so do not be kidded into thinking it will.

You forgot to mention the parking fines and tow away of cars, and the microphones that will come so they can listen to your conversations. But you never get through to the sleepwalkers.
