An incident along the Exeter Road has caused serious disruptions to the traffic flow through the town this afternoon.
Problems have been compounded by the collapsed wall at the bottom of Teignmouth Hill, and by the Strand Hill being closed off.
Making matters worse, a white works van broke down at the top of Stockton hill whilst trying to navigate out of the chaos, effectively cutting off all alternate routes out of town.
I'm not going to appologise for the delays caused on the Exeter road yesterday by my wife as she had an epileptic siezure on the Zebera crossing by coastguards and has subsiquently broken her ankle. I am however going to say a massive Thank You to everyone the First response fire crew, Police, Paramedics, anybody who stopped and helped (Sorry I know people did but don't know who) and a Thank You goes to our neighbours who took in and looked after our dog who ran home with all the drama going on. Without forgetting of course all the A & E staff at the Royal Devon And Exeter hospital who where totally amazing. THANK YOU

Thanks for the messages. To be honest the disruptions didn't bother me it was just the way it was reported Originaly as a big inconvenience rather than thinking about who's involved. My wife is recovering well thanks and getting used to hopping around on her new crutches. Also can I be really cheeky and ask anyone who has a few moments to spare to look up the Epilepsy society on google as it's an amazing charity and also my wife will now be a regular in town so the more people who know how to deal with a siezure the better. Thank You 
@Gadget.i am a mild epileptic and have been to the hospital at chalfont st.peter in buckinghamshire.theys sorted out my tablets for me,which i am still on,and eveything is ok.hope your wife gets better and i will do as you ask and will get back to you via posting on here if you want me to.

I grew up with a sister who is a severe epileptic, she has never been able to lead a normal life. When I was young I always took her out with myself and my friends so they all learnt to handle somebody who has seizures, and to not be afraid. My late father became involved with Mencap because of her condition. I wish your wife a speedy recovery
