The Fire Service received a call from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to a seagull trapped on a flat roof at the above location. One fire appliance from Teignmouth attended.
Fire crews released one seagull from third floor flat roof using a ladder and small tools. The care of the seagull was handed over to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Who is this nutter from the RSPCA that keeps calling the fire service to rescue bloody seagulls and is he/she getting the bill.
If it carries on I want the proportion of my council tax bill that goes toward the fire service refunding, because Im not paying for the system to be abused in this way. Its worse than kids making hoax calls.
Why cant the watch commander just refuse to attend on the grounds of sheer cost.

Here I go again just suppose fireman got injured or killed in this rescue what price
the compensation to him or his family and who would pay?
If I was a fireman I would refuse the task or put the liability for injuries etc
with the RSPCA.

Just suppose a house fire occurs with lives in danger whilst our firemen and the
engine is rescueing a bloody seagull for the RSPCA.
Do they ever think?
Do you think the RSPCA or the Fire Service might read these comments and provide a response that justifies their actions or are they silent organisations like others
I'm sure the fire service must be aware of any situation but as far as the RSPCA
are concerned they can't see any farther than a seagulls arse.
Does nature itself have an answer to the seagull problem. Like a bigger bird of prey that can kill and partially eat them . Seriously do they have any natural threat to their existance
