This is exactley why the people with the power should have listened to what the people who bothered to show an interest asked for. Parking not footpaths, serves them bloody right and long may it continue. Life without parking meters and wardens, absolute JOY!!!!

£50/£25 fine received today for overstaying outside the Pet Shop. Thought the restriction didn't apply at weekends but c'est la vie - my fault.

 

I have to say though that in a stretch which could accommodate about 8 cars there were only 2 parked (including mine!) so where is the sense in the restriction?

 

It's really no wonder no one use the town centre. I've often wondered why there are Double Yellows at the Park Road end of Brook Street and not at the bend opposite the church in Church Street. I wonder if it has anything to do with who lived there historically? There will be an accident in Church St - I've seen and been involved in a couple of near misses.
