I have just seen Westcountry ITV and they featured Dawlish and the number of holidaymakers down at the greatest resort in South Devon. They featured Beach Cafe and the owner who I have never seen before.I have seen the man.Didn`t feature the Terrace Cafe. But there Is the train line for great travel. Then they ruined It by going to Looe at Cornwall. What Is there? Anyway, the Dawlish Webcam is STILL offline.

Well i did not see many Holidaymakers in Dawlish this easter. Thought it was quite dead.

What a shame.

Can I ask what the reference to not showing the terrace cafe is about? There are plenty of other cafe's in Dawlish they also didn't feature??

@Kirst. i mention the terrace cafe because that the one that i usually go to because you can still see the trains  from it. i have been to beach cafe only now and again. again you can see the trains from there. yes, there are plenty of other cafe`s that i did`nt mention, and they may be very good. nothing against them at all.

Oh fair enough. I just wondered if the terrace had something going on people didn't know about. Apologies :)

Apparently The Boathouse at the Warren closed early yesterday. No trade on Easter Bank Holiday Monday :(

Hopefully it will pick for those who make a living from it.

I spent another lovely but very cold Easter in Dawlish Warren with my family. This year as the youngest is now old enough we walked from the Warren into Dawlish and had a lovely time just wandering along.

We love the area and quite often load up the car early in the morning to make the round trip from Wiltshire for ice-cream from Sticky Fingers and goodies from Gays Creamery.

It's a shame that the weather is so nasty at the moment, as we made lots of short dashes out to do very quick things and then went back to the caravan to get warm before planning another dash out into the bitter wind.

My grandsons were blown away (almost literally) by the waves crashing onto the sea-front on Monday as we returned to Dawlish to stock up on goodies to take home with us.

They are already planning our next visit in a few weeks for chips and ice-cream.

Does anyone know when the sea-wall webcam will be back online as we all love to sit and watch the sea? and the boys get excited by the occasional train that we manage to catch

@Rich Masser. it is only a temporary feed.and i don`t think it has any sound. if you live in dawlish they are saying please get in touch.perfect place to live is marine parade.

@kenny.just walk along the sea wall, if the tide in,you`ll get wet,if the tide is out you won`t.
