For those of us who are facebook adverse and don't have fb accounts we can't access the info that is going on the local fb websites about the weather and consequent floods, landslips etc. So just wondered if info could be posted on here as well as on EoD?

I've just got this off BBC Devon Travelnews website:

"Elsewhere in Devon, a landslip has closed a long stretch of the A379 road in Shaldon, from Ringmore Road to Deane Lane in Maidencombe.

The landslip close to what is known locally as the Labrador Bend is reported to be at least 15ft across and 3ft deep."

The Dawlish to teignmouth Road just past Smugglers is like a huge swimming pool, if you risk it take care or go up over the top which is at present clear
