I see from the article that Mr Pickles is thinking of bringing in a national law to ease this car parking problem.

Is this the same Mr Pickles who has advocated localism so much and who says that local councils should be left to themselves to decide how to run things er.........locally.

I remember him trying to get councils to reinstate weekly bin collections, that didnt have any teeth either.
