As mentioned on another thread, what has happened to the Date Protection Act

the act was brought in to stop the contents of data bases containing personal details being sold to third parties.

It now seems anyone or company who want such information can quite easily buy it over the internet

If we have a solicitor amongst our viewers it would be interesting to know if a legal case can be used against DVLA, Banks, VOSA, NHS for not keeping our personal details secure.

Unfortunately as recent news headlines report access to some of these databases is also being abused by the Police. There have been two or more cases recently were PCSOs have been caught abusing the systems, and they are not even proper police.

Please expand the DPA to include phone numbers and email addresses!
