Maybe the Webmaster could offer a section entitled 'politics' for people to post in... leaving the discussion section just for people interested in Dawlish topics?

@wondering, the problem with having separate discussion sections is that people tend to just ignore them and post in the most popular section anyway. in the old days, we used to have a 'council/politics' section, but everyone posted in the 'general' or 'backyard' sections.

By the way, it doesn't have to be set up by me because anyone can create a new discussion group, which is basically the same thing. In fact, Brooklyn Bridge has set up one (in 'more') , but it is members only and may have been set up by accident.
